摘要

We present the case of a 10-year-old boy with sudden onset of right-sided hemiparesis and facial nerve paresis. Magnet resonance imaging (MRI) showed a left-sided diffusion restriction consistent with the patient’s symptoms and intravenous thrombolysis was promptly initiated. MRI-angiography then showed vasculitis-typical vascular alterations, confirming the diagnosis of nonprogressive, angiography-positive primary angiitis of the central nervous system in childhood (cPACNS) as a relevant differential diagnosis of a pediatric stroke.
