Legg-Calve-Perthes disease: an idiopathic avascular necrosis of the femoral head with an Eponym. A review through the higher exams candidate’s eyes
摘要
This paper aims to provide a structure for candidates undertaking higher exams such as the Fellowship of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT), the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), and other Board Exams. Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, an avascular necrosis of the immature femoral head, is not rare in the daily paediatric orthopaedic clinic and is a very common topic in the FRCS, FEBOT and Board examination. Through the review of modern literature in this paper, the candidate will be well-prepared not only to pass the exam but also to manage patients effectively.
