<p>We have read with great interest the article by Cheng et al. [<CitationRef CitationID="CR1">1</CitationRef>] and value the authors commendable endeavours. The article was well written and provides an insightful comprehension of the study conducted. The study has established a good foundation for further research. The article highlights the impact of severe osteoarthritis (SOA) and low-grade osteoarthritis (LOA) on the global sagittal alignment, pelvic tilt and hip extension. However, after giving the article a thorough evaluation we found a few shortcomings that would have enhanced the study’s sense and purpose.</p>
