<p>During the legal dispute over the Bellenkopf/Rappenwört polder near Karlsruhe, the Administrative Court of Baden-Württemberg (VGH) found deficiencies in the evaluation of species- and nature conservation-friendly variants for the rehabilitation of the levee HWD XXV, which consequently can be remedied in a&#xa0;supplementary procedure. In consequence, the state of Baden-Württemberg is analyzing seven variants including levee and wall type. The completely different requirements for these flood protection structures, which were not taken into account in the planning approval procedure, are the subject of this article. In principle, these varying requirements for flood protection structures have to be considered during the evaluation of variants.</p>

摘要
