Energiewende-Forschung am Institut für Computertechnik – von Erkenntnissen aus der Pionierphase zu den heutigen Herausforderungen

The energy market liberalization in Austria had just unbundled the provision of the electricity grid from electricity generation when scientists at the Institute of Computer Technology at the Vienna University of Technology were exploring various options for making the energy supply more efficient through self-organization and coordination. This work deals with the findings from the pioneering phase of smart grids research at the TU Vienna and shows what role these topics play in today’s challenges of the energy transition.
