摘要

Conventional roadway development in underground mining by drill&blast is limited in the number of cycles per day because of the need to ventilate the blasting fumes.

Teleoperation and robotization of the development process can change this. Robots do not need fresh air and can work in an environment with blasting fumes. To achieve this a mobile ventilation air lock system needs to keep the blast fumes in the section until the next ventilation opportunity. This ventilation air lock system needs to be able to handle the blasting gas blasting wave.

A designated mobile material storage needs to take the material from the roadway development and will be discharged during the ventilation phase. If this material storage system can take the material of two blast cycles, up to three blast cycles would be possible between the ventilation phases, compared to the one blast cycle of the existing conventional drill&blast system.

It is therefore possible to double the speed of roadway development.

Detailed solutions have yet to be developed, but the requirements for teleoperation and robotization are available today.
