<p>In this paper, we introduce a novel colouring method called I-fuzzy graph colouring for inverse fuzzy graphs. It defines the chromatic number of inverse fuzzy graphs and explores the relationship between the resultant I-fuzzy graph’s chromatic number and those of individual inverse fuzzy graphs. Various operations, including I-fuzzy union, I-fuzzy intersection, quasi I-fuzzy union, and restricted I-fuzzy union, are employed to establish these relationships. Moreover, we investigate the chromatic number relationship by replacing edge values. The practical application of I-fuzzy graph colouring is demonstrated in determining the simultaneous intake of drugs. Additionally, we observe the MCA problem in inverse fuzzy graphs by considering only I-fuzzy graph colouring functions.</p>
