Kinder an die Macht?
摘要
The author opines to perceive and possibly to understand a certain idealization of infantilism in the present society as a form of strong countermovement following decades of devaluation of the child-like state. Although the search for the “inner child” is important, it is also important that this search does not lead to the unconscious assumption that (nearly) all others must fulfil the open remaining childhood wishes and always and everywhere be considerate of neediness. This regressive way obstructs the transition to adulthood; however, democratic societies are dependent on a sufficiently large number of adults.
