<p>In a&#xa0;comparative psycholinguistic language analysis, Donald J.&#xa0;Trump’s inaugural address on January&#xa0;20, 2025 is examined using Mergenthaler’s Resonating Minds Theory (RMT) analysis and contrasted with the inaugural addresses of previous American presidents. Trump’s speech does not display real connecting, which is associated with “insight” in psychotherapy research. His language is strongly egocentric and characterized by certainty in the sense of uncertainty avoidance, which also manifests itself in vague or relativizing formulations. The findings are discussed from various perspectives, in particular the effect of Trump’s speeches on his listeners and prognostic considerations. We expect another strong emotional movement at the end of Trump’s second presidency.</p>
