Künstliche Intelligenz in der Medizin: Wo stehen wir heute, und was liegt vor uns?
摘要
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have contributed to medical research for decades, transitioning from theoretical research to the practical, impactful applications currently implemented in various clinical processes.
ObjectiveThis article provides an overview of the current state of clinical AI, focusing in particular on natural language processing (NLP) technologies applied to clinical application cases.
Material and methodsEach phase of the life cycle of a clinical AI model is outlined, from data acquisition and preprocessing to training, evaluation, deployment, and eventual decommissioning. The capabilities, transparency, explainability, and specific applications in use today are also discussed.
Results and discussionThis analysis aims to inform and guide medical professionals on realistic expectations and practical considerations when considering implementing AI to address their research questions and clinical needs.
