Research on the Endophytic Bacterial Diversity and Core Microbial Composition in Seawater Rice Seeds

This study investigated the endophytic bacterial diversity and core microbial composition in seawater rice seeds. A total of 111 varieties of seawater rice seeds were collected and grouped based on their salt tolerance levels. High-throughput sequencing was employed to analyze the endophytic bacterial community. Results revealed that Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria were the dominant phyla, with Pantoea, Pseudomonas, Azomonas, and Xanthomonas as the core microbial genera. The endophytic bacterial community exhibited significant conservatism, with salt tolerance having a limited impact on its diversity and structure. However, salt tolerance significantly influenced the interaction patterns among endophytic bacteria. This study provides insights into the plant–microbe interactions in seawater rice and contributes to the understanding of its stress resistance mechanisms.
