摘要

In this report, we compared the effect of bulk Chlorocholine Chloride (CCC) and chitosan based Chlorocholine Chloride functionalized chitosan nanoformulation for yield enhancement in potato cv. Kufri Bahar in response of morphological, yield as well as biochemical characters. As per two years pooled data analysis, foliar spray of CCC-CS-NFs at higher concentrations (0.16–0.20%) significantly enhanced the chlorophyll content in leaves, per tuber weight, tuber yield, starch content and sucrose content in comparison to all concentrations of bulk CCC (0.04–0.20%), bulk chitosan (BCH) and control. Another side same concentrations of CCC-CS-NFs significantly decreased the amount of secondary metabolite solanine over the all concentrations of bulk CCC, bulk chitosan and control. For getting similar yield of potato the amount of applied CCC was reduced by 28 folds through foliar application of CCC-CS-NFs in comparison to bulk CCC. So, we may conclude that chitosan nano formulation increases crop yield by stimulating source activity as well improves utilization of CCC plant growth regulator (PGR) as an additional nutrition.
