<p>We report a novel Pr: YLF red laser operating at 720.9&#xa0;nm, generating high-peak-power, short-duration pulses through electro-optic cavity dumping. The laser produces 5.1 ns pulses with peak powers exceeding 16.9&#xa0;kW and maintains a stable pulse width across a tunable repetition rate range of 10–20&#xa0;kHz. The relationship between output power and repetition rate is studied. Notably, the pulse duration remains constant regardless of changes in repetition rate and pump power, thus overcoming the limitations of conventional Q-switched oscillators. A maximum average output power of 1.24&#xa0;W was obtained at a repetition rate of 20&#xa0;kHz.</p>
