Structural correlation to linear optical properties of ZnF2 ion doped on Li2O-ZnO-B2O3 glasses for blue and cyan LED’s application
摘要
The series of Li2O – ZnO – B2O3 glasses doped with ZnF2 are synthesized using conventional melt quench method. The amorphous nature is confirmed by X- ray diffraction. The density of the glass series are calculated using Archimedes method and which shows compositional depend trends. FTIR examinations reveal the existence of di-borate, di-pentaborate and metaborate ring-type structural units, as well as structures interconversions between BO4 and BO3 groups. Such structural interconversions are consistent with the patterns found in linear optical characteristics. Photoluminescence spectra show a significant emission peak at 486 nm. According to Commission Internationale de I’Eclairage (CIE) and correlated colour temperature (CCT) studies, the glasses emit blue and cyen light approximately 1750 K. According to these findings that the glasses under examination are acceptable materials for solid state lasers, as well as blue and cyan LEDs.
