We consider the three-body problem on \(\mathbb {S}^1\) under the cotangent potential with two equal masses. We first construct some homothetic orbits that lead to singularities—total collision and collision-antipodal. We then demonstrate the presence of Schubart orbits of the Newtonian three-body problem in this curved context. The periodic orbits are found by a topological method.
