摘要

Many developing countries rely on natural fibres as renewable resources, and their use in composite materials has become increasingly popular in various industries. This study focuses on analysing the mechanical properties of epoxy composites reinforced with natural fibres, including jute, hemp, and flax. It aims to explore how the incorporation of these natural fibres affects the mechanical behaviour, structural integrity, and overall performance of epoxy-based composite materials. Through a series of experimental analyses, such as flexural, tensile, and impact testing, this research examines the complex relationship between the reinforcement of natural fibres and the resultant mechanical characteristics of the composites. The study investigates how the composition and properties of natural fibres influence the mechanical properties of the epoxy matrix. Natural fibres (NFs) are abundant, renewable, biodegradable, and cost-effective resources that can be sourced from both plant- and animal-based materials. As reinforcement in polymers, natural fibres significantly enhance the properties of composites, contributing to more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives in material engineering. This research aims to offer a comprehensive understanding of the performance of epoxy composites when reinforced with different natural fibre materials and agricultural by-products. The findings will provide valuable insights for engineers, manufacturers, and researchers seeking to employ these materials in structural applications. By highlighting the potential of natural fibres, this study encourages further research and innovation in the development of high-performance, sustainable polymer composite materials for various industrial uses.
