Influence of synergistic plasticization of epoxy 1,6-hexanediol oleate and DOA on the properties of PVC films
摘要
The development of plasticizers with good cold resistance and excellent migration resistance is imminent. The synthesis of epoxy 1,6-hexanediol oleate plasticizer (EHD) and its effect on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) films were investigated. Epoxy 1,6-hexanediol oleate and dioctyl adipate (DOA) was mixed and added to polyvinyl chloride. Different compound plasticizers obtained by controlling the ratio of the two. A certain amount of calcium-zinc stabilizer and pentaerythritol tetrakis (3-mercaptopropionate) (PETMP) added to improve the synergy between them. Then, the properties of the corresponding PVC test pieces tested to study the effects of different ratios on the thermal properties, mechanical properties, migration resistance and cold resistance of PVC. The results showed that among the PVC films prepared with different ratios, the plasticized film with the ratio of EHD to DOA of 4:1 had the best performance. When the ratio of EHD to DOA is 4:1, the elongation at break of the plasticized film is 757.6%, which is 36% higher than that of the DOA plasticized film, and the temperature at which the mass loss is 10% is 284.1 °C, which is 8.6 °C higher than that of the DOA plasticized film; the Tg of the compound film was 15.89 °C, which was 1.1 °C lower than that of the film plasticized by DOA; and compared with the PVC film plasticized by DOA, the compound film had more stable migration resistance in petroleum ether and absolute ethanol, and was further verified by molecular dynamics simulation, and had better UV resistance. In conclusion, the synergistic effect between EHD and DOA plasticizers could further improve the interaction with PVC molecules, achieved better plasticizing effect, and had better cold resistance, heat resistance and stability.
