Assessing data literacy and AI education in digital education policies—Insights from the TrainDL Erasmus+ project
摘要
The integration of artificial intelligence and data literacy (AI&DL) into education, both in the curriculum and especially in the training and further education of teachers, is a challenge that is becoming increasingly important both internationally and in the European context. Nevertheless, there are currently few programs or successful approaches for the realization of this integration—especially for the integration of AI&DL into teacher training. However, the training and further education of teachers at different school levels is essential for the successful integration of AI&DL into everyday school life and curricula. To tackle this problem, the TrainDL project opened a dialog with teachers and European policy makers. In the course of the project, an overview of the situation in a number of European countries was created. In-depth desk research, several stakeholder and policy building workshops and the processing and analysis of policy documents in a specially developed compare system, in preparation for an interactive online policy monitor, were conducted to create an overview of the situation regarding policies in the AI&DL educational context.
