摘要

Two Gram-stain-negative strains, designated SYSU M81236T and SYSU M81241, were isolated from marine sediments collected from the South China Sea (Sansha City, Hainan Province, China). Both strains were aerobic and grew at pH 6.0–8.0 (optimum pH 7.0), 4–37 °C (optimum 28 °C), and in the presence of 0–12% (w/v) NaCl (optimum 4%). Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences and core genes indicated that both strains belong to the genus Pseudoalteromonas. Strain SYSU M81236T showed the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity to Pseudoalteromonas lipolytica CGMCC 1.8499 T (98.7%). Strain SYSU M81241 exhibited the highest sequence similarity to Pseudoalteromonas shioyasakiensis JCM 18891T (98.8%). The average nucleotide identity (ANI) and digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values between the novel strains and their closest relatives were below the species delineation thresholds (66.0–88.2% and 19.8–35.7%, respectively). The major respiratory quinone was Q-8, and the predominant cellular polar lipid was phosphatidylethanolamine, phospholipid, aminophosphoglycolipid and unidentified aminolipid. The predominant fatty acids are C16:0, summed feature 3 C16:1 ω7c or C16:1 ω6c, and summed feature 8 C18:1 ω7c or C18:1 ω6c. The genomic DNA G + C content of strains SYSU M81236T and SYSU M81241 was 40.8%. According to the genotypic, phenotypic and phylogenetic characteristics, we propose strains SYSU M81236T and SYSU M81241 represent a novel species of the genus Pseudoalteromonas, for which the name Pseudoalteromonas nanhaiensis sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is SYSU M81236T (= GDMCC 1.3805T = KCTC 8527T = MCCC 1K09469T).
