Der therapeutische Mehrwert von Prozessfeedback aus Sicht von Therapeut*innen und Patient*innen
摘要
This article presents the results of an anonymized online survey of 53 psychotherapists and 31 patients with reference to the findings of outcome and process feedback. The respondents used the Synergetic Navigation System (SNS), which is a generic, internet- and app-based system for data assessment, data analysis, and visualization. It is flexible in terms of the choice of questionnaires and the sampling rate. In addition to infrequent measurements (monthly, pre–post), the respondents’ routine practice (outpatient, semi-inpatient, inpatient psychotherapy) uses high-frequency monitoring, i.e., daily self-assessments, whereby the resulting time series and diagrams were analyzed continuously (real-time) and discussed with patients during the sessions. This kind of intensity asks for a proof of feasibility and acceptability, which has been confirmed by the respondents of this survey. The application of the SNS results in a variety of additional benefits, e.g., increasing motivation and alliance, capacity of self-reflection and self-control/self-management, providing information which otherwise would not have been available, and supporting the organization of the treatment process. Therapists and patients unanimously reported positive effects, regardless of the setting, the therapy approach, and the diagnoses. Finally, different criteria for the application and implementation of process feedback in psychotherapy are proposed.
