摘要

After an introduction to the field, a summary of the results of the pilot study and a description of the design of the current study on equine-assisted psychotherapy, an overview of the sample, including the diagnoses recorded is provided. The assessment tools used, the Zerssen mood scale and a self-developed, horse-specific questionnaire, are then explained and the corresponding results discussed. We then present in detail the essence of the semistructured interviews with patients and psychotherapists as well as the theoretical assumptions and implications derived from them. The deep hermeneutic analysis of selected video sequences with a 12-member interpretation group over a period of 18 months greatly expanded our access to the source material. From a psychotherapeutic scientific perspective, additional very interesting perspectives on the opportunities and possibilities of a participatory and emancipatory research approach implied here emerged.
