<p>We read with great interest the article&#xa0;“Single-stage reconstruction with a bilayer artificial dermal regeneration matrix for nasal skin malignancies defects in middle-aged and elderly Asian patients: minimizing scarring and morbidity” published in <i>Aesthetic Plastic Surgery</i>. The authors presented an innovative reconstructive strategy aimed at reducing donor-site morbidity and improving aesthetic outcomes following excision of nasal skin malignancies. Their findings suggest that the use of a bilayer artificial dermal regeneration matrix may offer promising cosmetic and functional results in carefully selected patients. Nevertheless, several methodological limitations should be considered when interpreting the reported outcomes and assessing the broader applicability of the technique.</p><p><i>No Level Assigned</i> This journal requires that authors assign a level of evidence to each submission to which Evidence-Based Medicine rankings are applicable.
