Evaluation of Factors Affecting Bone Resorption After Eyebrow Arch Prosthesis Implantation Based on CT Three-Dimensional Imaging

Eyebrow arch implant surgery can effectively improve the contour of the eyebrow arch, but the bone resorption that occurs after implant placement is worthy of clinical attention. This study will review the bone resorption of the eyebrow arch in patients after eyebrow arch prosthesis implantation based on CT three-dimensional imaging and evaluate the factors affecting bone resorption of the eyebrow arch.
MethodsThis study included a total of 51 participants who had previously had eyebrow arch implants. Three-dimensional imaging was used to measure and record parameters such as bone resorption, prosthesis position, distance between prosthesis and eyebrow bone, and thickness of the frown muscle. The impact of each factor on bone resorption was evaluated through analysis of variance (ANOVA) and chi-square test.
ResultsThe research results indicate that the closer the prosthesis is to the eyebrow bone, the thicker the muscles above the prosthesis, the easier it is for bone resorption to occur. But the thickness of the frown muscle, the position, width, thickness, and length of the prosthesis have almost no effect on bone resorption.
ConclusionCT three-dimensional imaging can help evaluate the influencing factors of bone resorption after eyebrow arch prosthesis implantation, thereby helping clinical doctors improve treatment methods and providing patients with safer and more effective treatment options.
