The usefulness of two-dimensional shearwave elastography in pediatric liver
摘要
Elastography enables the evaluation of tissue biomechanical properties and can be considered a form of virtual palpation. Two-dimensional shear wave elastography (2D-SWE) is an advanced elastography technique that offers non-invasive assessment, demonstrates diagnostic value, and maintains a favorable safety profile. These advantages make it an ideal tool for pediatric liver imaging. This up-to-date review provides radiologists with technical insights into 2D-SWE, practical guidance on performing examinations in children, an overview of common clinical applications in various pediatric liver diseases, and recommendations for integrating elastography into routine clinical practice for pediatric liver imaging.
