Research on geological characteristics and development potential of Es31 oil and gas reservoir in Nanpu M Block

The types of reservoirs and storage spaces in the Nanpu Oilfield are complex, and it is necessary to objectively and truthfully describe the static and dynamic underground conditions of the oil and gas reservoirs, improve geological understanding, and then formulate practical and feasible development technology policies. In this paper, firstly, the geological and oil layer characteristics of Nanpu Oilfield was analyzed, and the structural characteristics of the oilfield was elaborated. Secondly, the sedimentary and reservoir characteristics of the oilfield were revealed. Finally, a comprehensive analysis was conducted. Results show that: (a) The Es31 sub-section of Nanpu M Block has well-developed oil layer faults and complex structures. (b) The concentrated section of Es31 oil and gas reservoir is characterized by mudstone, tuffaceous siltstone, tuffaceous fine sandstone, and tuff. (c) The Es31 oil and gas reservoir in Nanpu M Block is a layered and lithological condensate gas reservoir controlled by structure and lithology, with a low degree of well control at present. The Es31 oil and gas reservoir in Nanpu M Block is a high concentration condensate gas reservoir (with a condensate oil content of 564.43 g/m3).
