Everything is a Mean Field: Exact Description of Electronic Structure with Antisymmetric Products of Quasiparticles

We show that electronic wavefunctions can be described, exactly, as the projection of a number-symmetry-broken antisymmetric product of geminals onto the appropriate N-electron Hilbert space. The same argument works for other composite bosons (tetrads, hexads, etc.). Inasmuch as every wavefunction can be rewritten as an antisymmetric product of quasiparticles, “everything is a mean field”.
