<p>We consider the Oseen system with nonhomogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions, and its approximation by a finite element method (FEM). We prove new error estimates which extend results from the literature, known for the Stokes system in polyhedral or polygonal convex domains, to the Oseen system in polyhedral (or polygonal) convex or non-convex domains. We also obtain some other error estimates for the Oseen system in polyhedral or polygonal domains which are new even for the Stokes system in polyhedral or polygonal convex domains.</p>
