<p>In this note, we use Foxby classes to characterize Gorenstein local rings. In the main application, we answer affirmatively (under a mild assumption) the Cohen–Macaulay case of a question due to Christensen–Foxby–Holm on the homological nature of the Gorenstein property.</p>

摘要
