摘要

To moderate switching losses and to succeed in high efficiency in power conversion, a new approach to voltage-fed quasi-Z-source direct matrix converter (QZSDMC) is critically evaluated with different modulation techniques by introducing novel PWM techniques. The modulation techniques proposed for QZSDMC include simple boost, maximum boost, maximum constant boost, maximum voltage-gain current control, and hybrid minimum voltage stress controls. This technique effectively reins both the rectifier sideways and inverter sideways of the matrix converter-like circuit. These techniques offer advantages over the traditional ZSDMC, such as fewer components, compact size, and better efficiency over a wide array of well-ordered buck–boost operating conditions. Among the anticipated techniques, the maximum constant boost and maximum voltage-gain control result in lower harmonic content in the output reduced switching (current) stresses, lower (switching) voltages, and maximum (voltage) gain for an agreed modulation index. The hybrid minimum voltage stress current control technique minimizes switching stress in all switches of the circuit, compared to the other techniques, while maintaining the same voltage gain. The paper also analyzes the affiliation concerning voltage gain and modulation index, as well as the relationship between switching voltage stresses and voltage gain for each method. The proposed modulation techniques are validated through simulation using MATLAB and experimental validation.
