Energy storage optimal configuration in new energy stations considering battery life cycle

摘要

The energy storage revenue has a significant impact on the operation of new energy stations. In this paper, an optimization method for energy storage is proposed to solve the energy storage configuration problem in new energy stations throughout battery entire life cycle. At first, the revenue model and cost model of the energy storage system are established based on the operational characteristics of energy storage in new energy stations, then combined with the output constraints of various energy sources in new energy stations; an objective function considering the entire battery life cycle is established with the goal of maximizing the return on energy storage investment; next, an improved gray wolf optimization algorithm (IGWOA) is proposed to solve the objective function and allocate energy storage capacity; at last, the energy storage configuration of 10 MW/20MWh is used as an example to verify the proposed method. The simulation results show that the optimized new energy station has significantly improved the phenomenon of wind and light abandonment, and increased the net revenue of energy storage.
