Improvement of technological and design preparation for the production of mould tools for plastic injection moulding
摘要
The article is devoted to the improvement of technological and design preparation for the production of a mould tool for dispenser injection moulding. This study integrates the Integrated Definition for Function Modeling methodology and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis to improve the technological and design preparation process for plastic injection moulds. The relevance of using integrated approaches to improve the quality and efficiency of the process is described. In particular, the specifics of using the computer-aided design module Creo Tool Design Extension, which facilitates the creation of 3D models of moulds, but at the same time increases the risks of the process of technological and design preparation, are analyzed. The improved model of the technological and design preparation processes identifies resources, inputs, outputs, and constraints, enabling structured analysis and facilitating risk evaluation. The Failure Mode and Effects Analysis methodology ensures the identification of potential failures, assessment of their severity, probability and detectability, and development of corrective measures. The paper presents an analysis of typical mistakes in the technological and design preparation, such as incorrect design of mould elements or deviations from geometric requirements, and proposes solutions to minimize their impact. The proposed model for improving the technological and design preparation helps to optimize the interaction between the design and technological departments. The enhanced model reduces design errors, shortens production time, and ensures higher-quality outputs. Results reveal that implementing this model reduces critical process risks by 20%, improving inter-departmental coordination and documentation accuracy. This work provides actionable insights for industries involved in complex mould production.
