摘要

The present paper describes an inverse analysis technique to obtain material flow stress law from experimental measurements of rolling torque. This was developed by coupling a mathematical model of rolling, able to predict rolling torque, with a mathematical optimizer which minimizes the difference between experimental values and model prediction in terms of torque using an objective function. It is known that FEM is able to well predict forming loads and material behavior in the rolling process with high accuracy. For this reason, numerical tests were performed using FEM in order to obtain rolling torque values in place of experimental measurements, to validate the developed strategy.
