Study on parameters of T-type cooling system for motorized spindle based on thermal characteristics
摘要
Thermal errors, due to temperature rise, account for about two-thirds of the machining error of the motorized spindle. Cooling is an important means of improving the temperature properties of motorized spindles. It is important to study the effect of cooling system parameters on the temperature characteristics of the main shafts when designing the cooling system. First, we analyze the heat transfer from the motorized spindle, calculate the heat transfer coefficient, and simulate the spindle cooling system. The optimum water coolant parameters for the T-type cooling system are then obtained by analyzing the inlet and outlet temperatures of the spindle coolant, the maximum temperature of the motorized spindle system, and the radial deformation of the spindle. For the C01.10 high-speed electric spindle, the optimal cooling medium parameters for the T-type cooling system are a temperature of 20 °C and a cooling medium flow rate of 8 L/min. Finally, experiments are designed to compare experimental data with simulation data to determine the accuracy of simulation results.
