<p>Modern societies that determine the market require sustainable product development. This is possible, among others, by introducing LCSA (life cycle-based sustainability assessment) methods, which concern the environmental, cost, and social aspects. It turns out that although achieving the quality of products required by customers is still key, limiting yourself to taking care of quality alone is becoming insufficient. In these activities, there is a lack of a method for assessing the quality of a product throughout its life cycle. The proposed method would allow the final customer at all stages of product development based on the life cycle structure. Therefore, the aim of the research is to develop a method for assessing the quality of a product in the phases of its life cycle (Total Quality Product in Life Cycle Assessment, TQLCA), which will function within the framework of LCSA methods. The life cycle stages used in the TQLCA methodically correspond to the life cycle assessment (LCA) in the “from cradle to grave” approach. The framework of the proposed method was developed in eight main stages, based on iterative design thinking (DT) and life cycle assessment methods. The TQLCA framework supports product development by evaluating design alternatives throughout their life cycle. It can also be adapted for specific industries, product groups, or individual products.</p>
