A general method based on the Dirichlet–Laplacian problem for connectivity in topology optimization

摘要

This paper continues the previous work (Donoso et al (2023) Struct Multidisc Optim 66:66–71) where the authors presented a method based on the Newmann–Laplacian problem to characterize and enforce connectivity in a topology optimization problem. Here, using the Dirichlet–Laplacian operator instead, the model is simplified and easier to extend to other physical contexts. The new method is again mathematically supported and numerically corroborated through several examples in structural design.
