Plantarer Fersenschmerz
摘要
Plantar fasciitis is a frequent clinical picture that mainly occurs in runners and overweight people in standing and walking occupations. The impairment of the quality of life is sometimes substantial. The thickening of the fascial insertion can be visualized very well using sonography. The main conditions which must be considered in the differential diagnosis are irritation of Baxterʼs nerve and the tarsal tunnel syndrome. The basic treatment consists of patient education and stretching exercises for the fascia and, if necessary, the use of insoles and shockwave therapy. If this does not lead to the desired result, a night splint and infiltrations can be meaningful.
