Digitale Rehabilitation nach Operationen, Verletzungen und Erkrankungen am Kniegelenk

摘要

Digital solutions are increasingly being used in rehabilitation after operations, injuries and diseases of the knee joint. In particular, mobile applications are used in conjunction with artificial intelligence (AI) and sensors. This means that the corresponding systems can individually suggest standardized exercises to the patient and use feedback to adapt the rehabilitation process to the patient’s current abilities. With the help of machine learning, AI systems can also help to continuously optimize the entire rehabilitation process and improve long-term outcomes for patients. The use of virtual reality can also support rehabilitation in various ways (distraction from pain, challenging environment for balance and coordination). The scientific evidence to date only shows superior or equivalent results for digital rehabilitation compared to conventional rehabilitation without the occurrence of undesirable effects. No relevant adverse effects or risks have occurred so far. Digital rehabilitation is undoubtedly on the rise and has the potential to revolutionize the way rehabilitation and healthcare are understood.
