Einsatzmöglichkeiten künstlicher Intelligenz in Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe
摘要
Artificial intelligence (AI) is gaining increasing relevance in obstetrics and gynecology. In addition to applications in image-based diagnostics and risk prediction, structured uses in therapy planning and healthcare delivery are emerging.
ObjectiveThis article aims to provide a systematic overview of current and potential applications of AI in women’s health, highlighting both the scientific evidence and practical challenges and limitations.
Materials and methodsThe article is based on a selective literature review of recent original research, reviews, and clinical studies on the use of AI in gynecology and obstetrics.
ResultsSpecific areas of application are presented, including reproductive medicine, prenatal diagnostics, screening, and personalized oncology. In addition, telemedical approaches and AI-supported communication tools are analyzed. Recent studies demonstrate benefits in diagnostic accuracy, efficiency, and quality of care. At the same time, methodological limitations, heterogeneous study designs, regulatory uncertainties, and issues related to patient acceptance and trust in AI-generated decisions are evident.
ConclusionAI has the potential to make gynecologic care more efficient, individualized, and accessible. However, successful integration requires physician-guided use, supported by targeted efforts in trust-building, quality assurance, training—and a careful appraisal of the available evidence.
