<p>Analyses of the usefulness and effectiveness as well as the potential consequences of various pandemic measures affecting women’s health have so far been rare in German-speaking countries. Based on a&#xa0;selective literature review, research findings on potential changes in the utilization of healthcare systems, the care situation of cancer patients and the utilization of screening programs, adverse effects for patients with endometriosis or fibroids and pandemic-related bleeding disorders are presented. Conclusions for gynecological care and challenges for health services research are identified.</p>
