Phytohormone in der Frauenheilkunde: Mechanismen und Perspektiven
摘要
Plants contain a large number of bioactive substances that can exert complex effects as mixtures of multiple substances. So-called phytohormones, including phytoestrogens, phytoprogestins and phytoandrogens, offer broad therapeutic potential for hormone-dependent medical conditions, e.g., menopausal symptoms, hirsutism, or menstrual disorders. While the effect of phytoestrogens through their interaction with estrogen receptors is well documented, research on phytoandrogens and phytoantiandrogens in women remains limited. In particular, the therapeutic use of phytoandrogens in women requires further studies to evaluate their safety and efficacy. This article sheds light on the mechanisms and applications of phytohormones in gynecology, highlights existing knowledge gaps, and emphasizes the need for further research.
