Pregnancies after assisted reproduction are at a higher risk of placenta-mediated complications as well as problems during birth, especially in women suffering from endometriosis. There is also a higher risk of fetal malformations, where minor defects are the leading findings. Intensive surveillance and care are necessary and useful in pregnancies after assisted reproduction.
