摘要

For many women with hormone-sensitive breast cancer, the risk of recurrence can be reduced by roughly 50% through 5–10 years of endocrine therapy; however, the discontinuation rates of adjuvant endocrine therapy range from 31–72%. The focus here is on the first 2 years during which the majority of those affected discontinue medication. Previous interventions to increase medication adherence have mostly shown no sustainable effects. Positive effects were primarily found in studies that carried out routine monitoring and those affected were contacted based on the feedback on adherence. Therefore, we have established a new digital form of care that aims to improve the quality of life and treatment adherence of these patients. As part of the project Primary Hormone-sensitive Breast Cancer: Needs-driven Healthcare Improvement by a Patient-centered Digital Application (PRISMA) led by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Klinikum rechts der Isar of the University Hospital of the Technical University Munich (TUM), an interface-linked application with the option of needs-based intervention is being used. The aim is to improve the quality of life, mental health and physical well-being as well as treatment adherence of breast cancer patients, to close gaps in care and to increase the chances of recovery. This study is currently being carried out at 19 breast centers in Bavaria certified by the German Hospital Society (DKG) and is funded by the Innovation Fund of the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) in the area of new healthcare options.
