Ernährung, Sport und Komplementärmedizin
摘要
In the case of endometriosis, integrative treatment options are available in addition to the established therapies. These include especially nutrition, exercise, and methods from complementary medicine. Diet can influence inflammatory parameters and estrogen levels. Fruits, vegetables, fish oil, and unsaturated omega‑3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory features, whereas trans fats, red meat, and alcohol can promote inflammation. Exercise with adequate breaks leads to release of anti-inflammatory markers, improves blood flow, activates endogenous opioids for pain relief, reduces endometrial lesion size, and lowers oxidative stress. Acupuncture, yoga, meditation, and Chinese medicinal herbs can improve quality of life and relieve symptoms. Monk’s pepper, curcumin, and French maritime pine bark extract have anti-inflammatory and hormone-regulating features and may also be promising. However, further research is needed to confirm their efficacy and safety.
