Dysfunktionelle respiratorische Symptome (DRS) im Kindes- und Jugendalter
摘要
Dysfunctional breathing disorders (DBD) frequently occur in childhood and adolescence and are therefore of high clinical relevance. Due to the overlap with symptoms of organic respiratory diseases, DBDs pose a challenge for pediatricians and pulmonologists. The spectrum includes disorders of breathing patterns, the drawing of breath, tic-like disorders (stereotypies) and psychogenic breathing disorders with disturbance of respiratory sensation. The treatment depends on the presenting disorder and ranges from education and reassurance of the patient and parents in the context of diagnosing, to respiratory physiotherapeutic interventions and psychotherapy. The DBDs are characterized by a very good treatment response. This fact and the goals of avoiding unnecessary (and ineffective) pharmacological therapy and improving quality of life underline the importance of awareness of DBDs and knowledge about diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
