<p>Following a&#xa0;long tradition of pediatric sports medicine in Germany, the Gesellschaft für Pädiatrische Sportmedizin (GPS, Society of Pediatric Sports Medicine) was founded in the year 2000. The members from Austria, Germany and Switzerland come from different medical and nonmedical professions, united by their interest in pediatric sports medicine. Today, the GPS is one of the largest societies in the field, even internationally. Since the GPS was founded 25&#xa0;years ago, information on topics related to pediatric sports medicine was distributed in symposia and annual meetings as well as by publications. The daily work of pediatricians is supported by providing freely downloadable structured template documents, such as the medical evaluation form for sports participation and the certificate for participation in physical education.</p>
