摘要

Urinary transport disorders in infancy are common and in most cases are detected prenatally. They are caused by congenital disorders of the kidney and urinary tract development. Only a few infants become symptomatic with urinary tract infections (UTI), urolithiasis or microhematuria. The majority of urinary transport disorders resolve spontaneously within the first few years of life; however, severe urinary transport disorders are associated with a high risk of kidney failure and must be diagnosed and treated in a timely manner. Repetitive ultrasound examinations, along with diuretic scintigraphy and voiding cystourethrography, are the most important diagnostic tools. Close interdisciplinary collaboration and follow-up into adulthood are necessary.
