<p>The increasing availability of THC-containing edibles poses a growing challenge for pediatric emergency medicine. Products presented in a child-friendly manner carry a substantial risk of unintentional intoxication in young children. This case report describes the acute poisoning of a 2-year-old girl following the ingestion of illegal THC-laced fruit gummies. In addition to the clinical presentation and therapeutic approach, the legal and societal context of cannabis legalization in Germany is discussed. The relevance for child protection medicine and the importance of preventive public education are highlighted.</p>
