Antibiotische Therapie in der ambulanten Pädiatrie
摘要
Antibiotics should be used as selectively and sparingly as possible in the clinical routine; however, the practical implementation of a rational antibiotic treatment is challenging, particularly in primary pediatric and adolescent care, where diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic uncertainties are common. To reduce prescription uncertainties, standardize treatment and communication strategies for rational antibiotic use, the “Recommendations for antibiotic therapy in outpatient pediatrics” were updated and published in March 2024. This article outlines and discusses the relevant literature and practical considerations that form the basis of the updated recommendations. The aim is to provide transparency regarding the background of these recommendations for all professionals working in outpatient pediatric and adolescent medicine.
