摘要

Traumatic birth injuries are lesions in neonates that develop through mechanical factors immediately before or during birth. They affect approximately 2–3% of all births and are a heterogeneous group of injuries. The most frequent types of birth injuries are lacerations, hematomas, clavicular fractures and brachial plexus palsy. The risk factors are of fetal or maternal origin or related to the mode of birth. Some risks that can be influenced can be addressed in prenatal consultations. Regular skills training as well as simulations in interprofessional and interdisciplinary teams are essential for the management of challenging obstetric emergencies. Despite the great advances in obstetrics it is not always possible to prevent traumatic birth injuries and they should therefore be detected during the initial examination (U1) of the neonate. This review article presents possible traumatic birth injuries, the symptoms and possible treatment approaches.
