Fallstricke in der pädiatrischen Ultraschalldiagnostik – Achtung, Verwechselungsgefahr
摘要
The diagnosis of a pathological change is principally based on knowledge of the normal condition, the recognition of deviations from the norm and the correct assignment to a disease. This is no different in radiological diagnostics. Deviations from the normal situation are compared with the engrams of pathological findings ideally stored in the memory of the examiner and the diagnosis is formed in the case of agreement and plausibility. This becomes a problem when the imprinted picture of a pathological disorder is missing, cannot be sufficiently aligned with the pictures to be interpreted or is even incorrectly classified. The nonrecognition and confusing of pathological changes can lead to false diagnoses, including the clinical consequences. It is indispensable to ingrain pictures of the pathological conditions to be able to recognize them again. This is best achieved based on specific clinical cases. Furthermore, knowledge of the technically related sources of error in radiological methods is indispensable to recognize artifacts and diagnostic limits.
